Curriculum

A traditional core curriculum emphasizes writing and grammar skills, reading for pleasure, history and geography, math skills and public speaking.  French is taught in grades one through eight, and Spanish is offered in grades five through eight.  Students in all grades are taught technology, science, music, art and physical education.  Beginning in fourth grade, students are provided laptops for use throughout the curriculum.

All seventh and eighth graders take pre-Algebra and Algebra, respectively; honors sections are available in each course.  Students in fifth grade participate in an annual speech contest, seventh graders produce the school newspaper, and eighth graders produce the school yearbook.

Students participate in community service at each grade level.  A responsibility code, an honor code and weekly school-wide assemblies reinforce the school's mission of instilling scholarship, integrity, respect and responsibility in our students.
