LibraryThe philosophy of the Charleston Day School Library is to create life-long readers who experience the joy of reading, and through reading explore the world and develop a sincere love of learning. Librarian Frankie Westbrook, a member of the South Carolina Association of School Librarians (SCASL), works hard in pursuit of this goal. With over 10,000 books in circulation today, students in all grade levels visit the library weekly, where they spend time reading and learning about research methods that tie into their school projects. In addition, we make available to students the following resources: DISCUS, Charleston Library Society, Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library at the College of Charleston, CharlestonCounty Library. Each month students are honored through the Birthday Book Program, sponsored by Dr. Robert D. Calcote ('71).
