BOOK FAIR AT BARNES & NOBLE
Come one, come all to the Annual CDS Book Fair!
The Book Fair will run through tomorrow, Friday November 4th from 8:00 - 3:30 p.m.
The Book Fair is going well but we need the parents to go in and have a look. There are lots of good books to put under the Christmas Tree. Many students have selected books and have them set aside so please go in and purchase them for your children. We also have a wish list table of books that the teachers would like for their classroom. This table has some great titles that everyone can enjoy. Please consider a gift to the classroom. Sales are open until 3 p.m. on Friday. In store sales and on- line sales continue. Bring your Barnes and Noble card or gift cards with you.
The library needs volunteers for the November Book Fair in the following time slots. Please contact Julie Walters, our parent chair, if you are able to serve.
November 4th: 10:00-12:00 a.m.; 12:00-2:00 p.m. and 2:00-4:00 p.m.
This is NOT like the Scholastic Book Fair of the past. We have much more available for all ages, particularly for 6th-8th graders, and there are no gadgets. We are only offering quality books at the Book Fair, and there is MUCH to choose from. Our offerings are recommended and used by teachers, administrators, parents and Mrs. Frances Westbrook, our librarian.
REMEMBER also that online or in any Barnes and Noble nationwide, shoppers may purchase anything (books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, Nooks, even a cup of coffee), and CDS will still get the 20% from each purchase Just use our code at check out: #10586774.

- 2011 Halloween Carnival Recap
As all of you know, CDS held their annual Halloween Carnival this past Monday. The children all seemed to really enjoy the day! From dressing up in their costumes to participating in the pumpkin and costume contests, there was definitely an aura of excitement felt by all! The children were intrigued by the ghost structure and the new booths offered this year and excited by the traditional tried and true favorites that returned! Everyone had a smile on their face throughout the day and the enthusiasm was contagious as it permeated throughout the hallways of CDS!
We would like to thank our Committee Volunteers as well as the many other Parent Volunteers, Room Mothers, and CDS Staff that helped to make this event possible this year. We appreciate the time and effort that everyone leant to assist with this event to make it a huge success! Thank you so much for your support- words cannot express our deep gratitude!
