why did you decide to become a teacher?
Since I was a little girl, I have wanted to be a teacher! My mom was a teacher and I used to enjoy “playing school” with my brother and my friends. When I went to Auburn, I went straight into Education and I haven’t looked back!!
what is your favorite children’s book?
I have so many favorites! I especially like the book, Thank You, Mr. Falker. It is a sweet book by Patricia Polaco that talks about the relationship between a teacher and a little girl, Trisha, who is learning to read. It reminds me about the importance of of making a difference in the life of a child.
what is your favorite spot in charleston?
I really love walking the bridge and over looking Charleston from the very top. I also love being on the water, so whether it is the beach or the boat, count me in! After growing up in Atlanta, living on the coast is so much fun
what is your favorite cds tradition?
I love morning assemblies at Charleston Day. It is so nice that our Charleston Day family is together for one time each week. When we all say the pledge and sing the National Anthem, it makes my heart smile!
