November 28

Becoming Successful Young Adults

We’re excited to share that Allison Nesser of Creative Counseling Services LLC, who serves as the school counselor, is hosting a series of parenting forums at CDS.

parent forumMore than 20 parents attended the first forum of the series,“Life with your Tweenager,” earlier this month.

“I was surprised with the amazing turnout from our first session and parents’ willingness to share personal stories that made it relatable for everyone,” Allison said. “I had several parents approach me after the session, thanking and welcoming me to the Charleston Day family, and share that the information was very helpful, particularly around friendships.”

Throughout her series, Allison will provide information, strategies, and tools to best support your child in becoming a successful young adult. “My goal of the series is to be able to connect parents with resources and information to ease the challenges of raising a child in today’s modern world,” she said.

Future Forums

Dec. 6 – “Tips for Parents in the Digital Age”

January 17 – “Setting Limits with Love”
