One of my favorite teaching moments in 5th grade is the annual speech contest. This event allows students to explore topics they are passionate about while developing public speaking, research, and organizational skills . It is incredibly rewarding to see the students gain confidence and experience with these valuable skills that will serve them well in their future endeavors.
