I enjoy the buzz in the classroom when students are engaged and eager to problem solve — particularly during group work — and they are so involved in what they are doing that they want to keep working on it even when time is up! I also like it when students make connections between material from a different unit, from other classes, or from their personal experiences. It’s always a privilege to witness the “aha” moments where a student grasps a new concept or overcomes an obstacle.
