Favorite thing about teaching 1st grade:

I really enjoy connecting with my first graders and seeing how far they come in 9 months!  First graders get excited about the little things and there are lots of ‘ah ha’ moments. Also, no day is ever like the one before!

my word for 2017:

Prepared – I have a busy life between home and school. My goal this year is to always look ahead and be prepared so that I can get the most out of every moment!

favorite cds tradition:

Bigs and Littles. The first graders are assigned a fifth grader that will serve as their big brother or sister until the big graduates. At that time, the little becomes a big and gets their own little. The relationships that are developed are priceless!

spare time:

I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with Darby (the puppy), reading, boating, and playing tennis
