Last week, CDS second graders brought to life the sights, sounds and scenes of favorite stories in the the annual Fairy Tale Festival. After studying “point of view” (POV) in literature, students were asked to retell a favorite fairy tale through a specific character’s eyes, complete with costume and props. Another fun aspect of the project was time spent with their “Bigs” building their own fairy houses in the garden. Next week, the students will write their own tales!
