Our second graders went “Around the World” again this year…remotely! Around the World, a longstanding CDS tradition, is a culminating activity for the second grade Social Studies curriculum. Students spend months immersed in reading and writing about the geography, climate, culture and history of more than a dozen countries. The process teaches children to respect global differences while using S.T.E.A.M. to showcase what they’ve learned. Take a quick glimpse of the variety of countries they studied in the photos below.
