The Charleston Day School campus came alive with excitement for Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day on Friday, October 18, 2019. The day featured a spectacular K-5th grade performance, Jazz: A Swinging Celebration, directed by CDS music teacher Chrystal Hawkins. Grandparents and Special Friends then worked on projects with their students in the classrooms and created Henri Matisse-inspired collages together in the Commons under the direction of K-5th grade art teacher Janet Hopkins.
