Around the World 2021

Lights! Color! Culture! The second graders went “Around the World” again this year, immersing themselves in the study of nations such as the United Kingdom, Egypt, Kenya, Russia, India, Australia, Italy, Greece and more. This culminating social studies event was a true performance, guided by music teacher Mrs. Chrystal Hawkins. Students recited facts about each country, created artwork and dioramas, and sang and danced. This year, the filmed production will be shared with families. With the children singing songs such “It’s a Small World” and “We Are the World,” this is one performance filled with hope for a bright future.
