Welcome Back to School!

August 21

CDS students returning to school for the 2020-2021 year were greeted on their first half day by wet weather and excited faculty. Students washed their hands before entering the school and then found their classrooms, seats and supplies. The halls have been so empty around here…if walls could talk, they would shout for joy at seeing so many Scorpions!

Students and faculty are all getting back into routines, some normal and some new. Regular breaks are held outside in the playground and the parking lot. Hands are washed and desks are sanitized all day long, but it doesn’t stop the learning. This week, kindergarteners worked on their spelling, third graders got to know one another with “All About Me” exercises, and middle schoolers created Op Art line drawings in art. CDS teachers are engaging the whole class, both in the classroom and remotely!

Welcome back, one and all! Keep up the great work!
