“I like that she plays with me,” said one kindergartner this morning when asked to share something special about her grandmother. Another said, “I like that I see him all the time.” As they sat in a circle on the rug, surrounded by their grandparents, each student shared. “I like her white hair,” said one. “She lets me put her lipstick on her,” said another.
Each class had prepared something special for Grandparents’ Day — whether a poem, a story or an activity to do together. Then, the students entertained us with music from the 50s, which was our theme for the day. We were honored to share our school with our grandparents.
