Each of us in the Charleston Day School community is pleased to introduce you to our school. We serve students in grades kindergarten through eighth on a historic campus located in the heart of historic Charleston, South Carolina.
Our student body of 250 thrives in this personal environment where all students and faculty members know and respect each other. Charleston Day focuses on the primary, elementary and middle school years; our program prepares students for the eventual challenges of high school, college, graduate school and life.
Since its inception in 1937, Charleston Day School has provided a rigorous academic experience for its students. The culture ensures students are pushed to the fullest capabilities at all levels. In addition, the care and attention of an exceptional faculty ensure that students are supported in an appropriate manner. The environment is wholesome and rich. Students and faculty enjoy being at Charleston Day because the relationships here are positive and deep. Alumni continually comment on the lasting nature of the numerous friendships they form.
