The kids, of course! Their laughter, their smiles, the ah-ha moment when they learn something new, their hugs — I love it all!
The best advice I have ever received is that the prize is in the process. I actually keep it hanging up by my computer. It’s a good reminder to live in the moment, be present, and to have gratitude for the here and now. If I could tell my younger self anything, it would be to enjoy the journey!
I love to read! I’m reading Becoming by Michelle Obama right now.
My favorite vacation spot is Nantucket. My perfect day would include a long bike ride to grab sandwiches for the beach. Then a few hours on the beach with a good book would be a great way to spend an afternoon. I’d follow that up with dinner out with family for lobster rolls and ice cream at The Juice Bar!
My favorite spot on campus is the garden. I love to take my class there on a sunny afternoon for reading or cursive. We spread out, enjoy the sunshine, listen for the church bells, and do our best thinking!
